On the edge of helplessness
On the edge of helplessness –
When a person becomes helpless – when helplessness consumes him from all sides. Then this vast and beautiful world reveals itself to be so small that the helpless person’s place does not even fit in that world. The world wraps itself up in a terrible way. Such a big world, yet nowhere does he find refuge in hope. He lives only with himself, his own exclusive understanding.
Then –
Freedom becomes the only desire.
The only opportunity to breathe. Which sometimes meets, and sometimes does not. The sorrow of failure skillfully builds a friendship with life. Life becomes meaningless.
- Yet – suddenly somewhere or other a little light emerges.
- Whose name is – hope.
- Even in the deepest darkness of helplessness,
- the faint light of hope keeps life alive.
মানুষ যখন অসহায় হয়ে পড়ে –
মানুষ যখন অসহায় হয়ে পড়ে,
অসহায়ত্ব যখন চারিদিক থেকে গ্রাস করে। তখন বিশাল সুন্দরতম এই পৃথিবীও নিজেকে এতই ক্ষুদ্র বলে প্রকাশিত করে যে, অসহায় মানুষটির স্থানও ঐ পৃথিবীতে সংকুলান হয় না। পৃথিবী নিজেকে গুটিয়ে নেয় নিদারুণ ভাবে। এত বড় পৃথিবী অথচ কোথাও, তার ভরসার আশ্রয় মেলে না।শুধু নিজের সঙ্গেই চলে, নিজের একান্ত বোঝাপরা।
তখন—
মুক্তিই হয়ে ওঠে একমাত্র আকাঙ্ক্ষা।
নিঃশ্বাস ফেলার একমাত্র সুযোগ। যা কখনো মেলে। আর কখনো মেলেনা।
ব্যর্থতার গ্লানি সুকৌশলে সখ্যতা গড়ে তোলে জীবনের সাথে। জীবন হয়ে ওঠে অর্থহীন।
- তবুও— হঠাৎ কোথাও না কোথাও একটু আলো ফুটে উঠে।
- যার নাম – আশা।
- অসহায়তার গভীরতম অন্ধকারেও –
- আশার ক্ষীণ আলো বাঁচিয়ে রাখে জীবনকে।
