It is simply foolish to have the idea that everyone will evaluate you correctly, give you equal importance, or that everyone will speak to you respectfully wherever you go.
Many of us have a misconception – that we think that others should give us the same importance as we think ourselves.
This idea often leads to arrogance, unnecessary anger and a sense of importance in our behavior.
Then we act and speak as if there is no one more valuable than us in the world.
But when reality does not match that idea, we break down in sadness, anger and disappointment.
- Remember, a person whobehaves rudely and arrogantly can never truly become loved by others.
- People do not respect him; rather, they are afraid.
- Those who come in contact with him are always in fear of when they will again be a victim of his harsh behavior.
- Not love for such a person, but fear and pity are born.
Suppose you suddenly got angry with someone and behaved harshly.
Maybe he didn’t protest because of your influence. Did that make you grow up?
Not at all. Rather, your value to him decreased.
The person who once respected you and valued your words will gradually move away from you mentally.
He may even think of repaying your insult if he gets the chance.
And if that person was close to you or once helpful to you, then the matter is even more serious.
One wrong behavior of yours can destroy long-standing trust, respect, and relationships.
As a result, you unknowingly create an adversary for yourself.
Therefore, in such a situation, the first thing you need to do is keep your head cool.
Under no circumstances should you suddenly get excited and attack anyone. Remember—
“If you get angry, you lose.”
Because when you get angry, people often lose their sense of purpose.
Then they do something that can have very terrible consequences.
The wise thing to do is to temporarily remain silent, keep yourself in check,
and analyze the situation with a cool head. Ask yourself—
- What is my goal?
- Where do you want to go?
- What is the right path to achieve that goal?
- What would be the smartest decision at this moment?
- Just do this – and you will see that you have succeeded.
