A few days ago, I suddenly met a friend on the road.
When I asked him how he was, he just smiled.
There seemed to be a secret in that smile. I started searching for the reason for that smile.
The friend said—
“Come on, let’s walk without standing. I will tell you a short story as we walk.”
I was a little surprised. We both started walking.
And he started saying—
“I have always been indifferent to washing my clothes since childhood. I found the task very boring. When my mother was alive, my mother would wash it. When my mother was not there, my younger sister. Then my sister got married. I also became a family man. But the habit didn’t go away.
How can I tell my wife? What if she doesn’t take it normally? What if she gets angry?
Will it continue like this?”
One day, I came up with a plan.
I put 200 taka in my pants pocket and 100 taka in my shirt pocket. Then I said to my wife —
“My sweet, I am in a hurry. Please take the time to wash these clothes with soap.”
My wife did not object.
I returned in the evening and found them sparkling clean.
My wife said with a smile —
“I have washed them very well. Listen, there is no need to put them in the laundry. It is an unnecessary expense. Leave them, I will wash and iron them.”
I smiled to myself.
But another question started swirling inside me —
What did my wife think when she got the money in her pocket?
Did she think —
I trust her?
I want to reward her for her hard work?
Or — I am testing her attraction to money?
My wife herself put an end to all my thoughts.
She returned the money she found in her pocket and said with a wonderful smile —
“ Not money… I love you. I want to take your responsibility.”
I paused for a moment.
The voice became soft—
“I felt very ashamed inside. I said in a weak voice — Sorry, my love.”
“You know, friend, a relationship doesn’t last with money alone. Sincere trust, mutual understanding, delegation of responsibility and love—all of these together build a beautiful family. Money only builds bridges there, not a foundation.”
While talking, we came to a crossroads.
He put his hand on my shoulder and said—
“Go, friend, see you later.”
Saying this, he got on a moving city bus and left.
I stood there for a long time.
A stifled breath came out of my chest.
I said to myself—
“It’s not a lie, friend.”

  Who will benefit if they avoid them.
  Where will their status increase.
  People will give importance to which event they attend.
  These subtle calculations become an integral part of their lives.
  For them, relationships are often like an investment.
  Where the profit-loss calculation works invisibly.

However, there are countless people on the other side of the world whose reality is completely different.
For whom every morning begins with struggle. For whom life is not a luxury, but a battle for survival.
For whom every day is spent thinking about meeting the needs of the world.
They dream. But they are constantly injured while trying to make that dream stand on the hard ground of reality.
In their lives, necessity is much more important than external glamour.
They are busy fighting to build their lives before enjoying life.
They start anew every day. They break down every day. They try to get up again.
But the sad truth is that most people in society do not give importance to this struggle of theirs.

• Rather, they want to see the results of success.
• How many sleepless nights a person has spent.
• How much humiliation they have endured.
• How many times they have failed.
• How many times they have tried to rebuild themselves — all those stories are not of interest to people.

• People respect success. Not struggle.

Yes, there are exceptions. Some people are truly humane. They try to understand the suffering of others.
But they are very few in number.

Again, many times it is seen that some people in society are very busy doing good to others.
From the outside, their activities seem very humane. But if you observe deeply,
you can understand that sometimes there is a strong desire for self-promotion behind that benefit.
They want people to praise them. The story of their generosity to spread. Their status to increase further.

• But real empathy is very silent. Real empathy does not seek the light of publicity.

In real life, it is seen that when you are going through difficult times.
Then very few people stand by your side.
Many people maintain a distance during your days of failure, disappointment or financial crisis.
Some may silently regret.
Some criticize your incompetence.
Some call you lazy.
Some say you do not know how to plan.
Some say you lack competence.

But very few people ask the question – why is this so?
Very few people try to understand how terrible a situation can be in a person’s life and make them collapse like this.
Your sighs do not reach their ears. Your sleepless nights do not reach their eyes.
The mountain of despair that has accumulated inside your chest does not touch their feelings.

But sometimes a little sympathy can give a person a new life.
An encouraging word. A sincere advice or a sympathetic presence can give a broken person the strength to stand up again.
But that understanding is not in everyone.

Because their world of thoughts is far away.

Their own glory and their own achievements.
Successful, established and influential people are at the center of their vision.
Relationships with whom will increase their social value.
Where is the place of a struggling, failed or disappointed person like you in the crowd of their sky-high thoughts?
You may be fighting every day to maintain your existence.
You may be constantly trying to develop yourself.
But your struggle is invisible to them.

• Because, they see the result – not the journey.
• They see the destination – not the hardships of the journey.
• They see the light of success – not the nights spent in darkness.

Then it seems that trying to get your place in that high world of theirs is like jumping from the ground to touch the sky.
No matter how hard you try, the distance remains huge.
But there is no reason to be disappointed.

You have to remember that –
the real value of a person is not in his money – in his character.
Not in his influence – in his humanity.
Not in his external splendor – in the greatness of his heart.

Those who are neglecting you today may see your current situation. But they do not see your potential.
They do not see your struggle. They do not see your indomitable willpower.
herefore, do not waste time waiting for the recognition of others. Do your own work.
Increase your qualifications. Enrich your character.

One morning, while having breakfast at a local restaurant, I witnessed an incident that left a lasting impression on me.
The restaurant manager was standing in the middle of the room, visibly upset. Several table boys stood before him with their heads bowed in silence.
Curious about what had happened, I quietly observed the situation.
The manager spoke loudly and firmly.
“A small bottle of herbal tooth powder worth only five taka has been broken.
Yet none of you has the honesty and courage to admit who did it.
This is not a crime. It is simply a mistake. Mistakes happen because people are human.
They happen through carelessness, not necessarily through bad intentions. Such mistakes can be forgiven.
But what disappoints me is that none of you has the courage to tell the truth.”
The boys remained silent.
The manager continued:
“Think about it. Even if we consider this an offense, what is the worst possible punishment?
At most, someone would have to pay for the damaged bottle. The loss is very small.
But have you considered the greater loss?
If you cannot tell the truth about a small mistake, people may eventually see you as dishonest.
One day, someone may commit a much bigger mistake and stay silent again. Then the consequences could be far more serious.”
His words immediately captured my attention.
He went on:
“Never forget that mistakes are part of being human.
The right thing to do is to admit them, learn from them, and improve yourself.
Deliberately doing wrong is different—that becomes a true offense.
But there is another lesson here.
If you are not willing to take a risk worth only five taka today, how will you ever take bigger risks in life?
How will you build a successful future?”
The room became completely silent.
The manager’s voice softened, but his message became even stronger.
“To achieve something meaningful in life, you must learn to take risks.
You must learn to accept small losses. Only then can you create greater gains.
If you are afraid to admit a mistake that costs five taka, how will you handle the challenges that come with bigger responsibilities?

• Success requires courage.
• Growth requires courage.
• Life requires courage.”

Still, no one stepped forward.
No one admitted responsibility.
After waiting for a few moments, the manager made an announcement.
“Very well. Since nobody is willing to tell the truth, I have made a decision.

Immediately, the workers looked at one another in surprise.
One of them finally spoke.

For the first time, the manager smiled.

As I sat there listening, his words struck me deeply.

Many people dream of success, yet they avoid every situation that involves uncertainty.

The mobile phone rang. Sophie reluctantly picked up the phone and pressed the yes button.
— How are you Sophie?
A very emotional and charming voice. Which was mesmerizing.

A voice came from the other end without hesitation

Pulling him into a world that didn’t exist — a place made of dreams,
where everything felt possible, where happiness had no end.

They started walking.

তোমার ভালোবাসা

তোমার ভালোবাসা –
আমাকে গর্বিত করে।
আমি সহজেই সৃষ্টি করতে পারি –
এক চমৎকার ও সুন্দর জগৎ।

এই জগতের মায়ায় –
নীরবে, গোপনে লুকিয়ে থাকে
আমার গোপন দীর্ঘশ্বাসের সমস্ত উষ্ণ বাতাস।
ভালোবাসা পাওয়ার অনুভূতিতে,
আমি হয়ে উঠি – পরম সুখী।
