Illuminated Life vs. Excessive Brightness –
When light falls upon darkness, that place becomes illuminated. And when more light falls on an illuminated area, it becomes intensely bright.
If we compare the concept to our current lives, we will see that most of man desire a life of intense brightness. In other words, we constantly desire more than what we already have. We seek wealth, influence, status, and power—there is no doubt about that.
However, excessive brightness can sometimes burn everything. Instead of beauty, the harsh glare becomes more visible. The glow turns into a burden—an uncomfortable shine we are forced to carry.
At this point, some may echo the well-known saying:
“Money is the root of all evil.”
There is truth in this statement. Yet, the importance of money in life is undeniable.
Without financial stability, life often feels incomplete. Money plays a crucial role in maintaining a decent and comfortable lifestyle. Without it, even the basic path of life becomes difficult. In fact, from beginning to end, life’s essential needs cannot be fulfilled without money.
However, one should aspire only to the amount of wealth necessary for a balanced and meaningful life—and learn to be content with it. Otherwise, life may take a troubling turn.
Often, in the pursuit of excessive wealth, people do not hesitate to sacrifice their humanity. The desire for more can make individuals arrogant, even leading them to compromise their morals and values.
Therefore, while money is essential for survival, it is equally important to nurture humanity, conscience, morality, and character.

আলোকিত জীবন বনাম আলোক উজ্জ্বলতা –
অন্ধকারে যখন আলো পতিত হয়, সেই স্থানকে আলোকিত বলা হয়। আর আলোকিত স্থানে যখন আরও আলো পতিত হয়, তখন তা আলোক উজ্জ্বল হয়ে ওঠে।
এই ধারাবাহিকতায় যদি আমাদের প্রবাহমান জীবনের দিকে তাকাই, তবে দেখা যায়—আমরা অধিকাংশই আলোক উজ্জ্বল জীবনের প্রত্যাশী। অর্থাৎ, আমাদের যা আছে, তার চেয়েও বেশি কিছু পাওয়ার আকাঙ্ক্ষা আমাদের মধ্যে কাজ করে। আমরা চাই অর্থ, বিত্ত, প্রভাব ও প্রতিপত্তিতে ভরপুর এক জীবন। এতে কোনো সন্দেহ নেই।
কিন্তু অতিরিক্ত উজ্জ্বলতা অনেক সময় সবকিছু ঝলসে দেয়। তখন উজ্জ্বলতার সৌন্দর্যের পরিবর্তে সেই ঝলসানো দিকটিই বেশি স্পষ্ট হয়ে ওঠে। নষ্ট উজ্জ্বলতার এক গ্লানি আমাদের বয়ে বেড়াতে হয়।
এই প্রসঙ্গে অনেকেই বলতে পারেন—
“অর্থই অনর্থের মূল।”
কথাটি সত্য, তবে জীবনে অর্থের প্রয়োজনীয়তাও অপরিসীম—এটাও অস্বীকার করার উপায় নেই।
অর্থনৈতিক স্বচ্ছলতা ছাড়া জীবন অনেকাংশেই অসম্পূর্ণ থেকে যায়। একটি সুন্দর ও সুষ্ঠু জীবন যাপনের জন্য অর্থ অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। অর্থ ছাড়া জীবনের পথ কখনোই পুরোপুরি সুগম হয় না। এমনকি জীবনের শেষ কার্য সম্পাদন করতেও অর্থের প্রয়োজন হয়।
তবে, জীবনে সুন্দরভাবে চলার জন্য যতটুকু অর্থ প্রয়োজন, ঠিক ততটুকুই প্রত্যাশা করা উচিত এবং তাতেই সন্তুষ্ট থাকা বাঞ্ছনীয়। অন্যথায় জীবনে নানা বিপত্তি দেখা দেয়।
প্রায়ই দেখা যায়, অধিক অর্থের লোভে মানুষ নিজের মনুষ্যত্ব পর্যন্ত বিসর্জন দিতে দ্বিধা করে না। অতিরিক্ত সম্পদের প্রভাব মানুষকে অহংকারী করে তোলে, এমনকি নৈতিকতাকেও পরাজিত করে ফেলে।
সুতরাং, জীবনে বেঁচে থাকার জন্য অর্থ অবশ্যই প্রয়োজন। কিন্তু এর পাশাপাশি নিজের মনুষ্যত্ব, বিবেক, নৈতিকতা এবং চরিত্রকে সমানভাবে লালন করা আরও বেশি জরুরি।
- মনে রাখতে হবে—
- উন্নত নৈতিকতা চরিত্রকে মহৎ করে তোলে। আর মহৎ চরিত্র মানুষের জীবনকে করে তোলে দীপ্তিময়, ছন্দময় এবং গৌরবান্বিত—যা আমাদের সবারই কাম্য।
অতএব, মহৎ চিন্তা, সচেতনতা এবং সুন্দর নৈতিকতার চর্চার মাধ্যমে নিজেকে গড়ে তুলুন—যত কষ্টই হোক, যত পরিশ্রমই লাগুক।
- সকলের প্রতি বিনীত অনুরোধ—
- অতি উজ্জ্বল জীবনের মোহে পড়ে কখনোই সেই শাশ্বত, অনিন্দ্য সুন্দর মহৎ চরিত্র ও নৈতিকতার মুকুটকে পদদলিত করবেন না।
- কারণ, সুন্দর মন সৃষ্টি করে সুন্দর দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি।
- সুন্দর দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি জাগিয়ে তোলে সৎ কর্মের স্পৃহা।
- আর সৎ কর্মই উন্নত নৈতিকতার ধারক ও বাহক।
এই চর্চার মধ্য দিয়েই জীবনকে সত্যিকারের আলোকিত করুন এবং এই দুর্লভ মানবজীবনকে সার্থক করে তুলুন।
